Community Meals

Community Lunch

We serve a sit-down two course meal with a full blackboard menu and table service.  We also have tables on our beautiful deck. Our menu, which is decided each week, has a choice of 3 or 4 main courses, followed by 5 or 6 choices for desserts.

The Monty's Place community lunch is held every Wednesday between 12.00-1.30pm in the Uniting Church Hall next to the Water Tower at the top of the hill in Narooma.

We have a whiteboard menu from which our guests chose one of the 3 or 4 options for a main meal followed by lots of delicious desserts.

The lunch is a sit-down meal at tables that seat 6 people in the dining room, and more tables on the deck. This provides an opportunity to make new friends and for groups to enjoy a freshly cooked nutritious meal which is served by our friendly waiters.

Monty's takes the health and welfare of our guests very seriously. Our lunch is cooked fresh by experienced volunteer cooks and kitchen hands who have all done the required food handling training.

An example of a weekly menu might be:

Main Course options: Roast Pork with vegetables; Green Curried Chicken and rice; Chicken Kiev and vegetables, and Vegetable Slice with salad.

Our fabulous desserts may include Pavlova, Baked Egg Custard, Fruit Salad, Chocolate or Butterscotch Self-Saucing Puddings, lots of different cakes, all with the option of being served with cream and/or ice cream.

Our menu changes every week and is announced on our Facebook page on the Tuesday before the Wednesday lunch, with a reminder just before the lunch.

Monty's Place volunteers are committed to providing our community and to providing our guests with nutritious food, served by our friendly waiters, in an enjoyable social get-together.
