Volunteers

We are all volunteers at Monty's Place. Monty's runs so successfully due to the generosity and commitment to community displayed by our wonderful volunteers.  

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to come and join our team. 

VOLUNTEER ROLES AT MONTY'S PLACE

We have several different roles for volunteers at the Wednesday lunch and in preparation roles during the week: 

Cook 
Kitchen hand 
Setting up the dining room

Scullery - dish washing

Front of House

Wait staff 
Cleaners

Collecting food from our generous sponsors during the week

Meet and Greet at the front door. 

Monty’s has a Volunteer Handbook which clearly outlines the responsibilities of each volunteer role.

APPLYING TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

If you are interested in joining our team of volunteers, it is a good idea to come along on a Wednesday to have lunch with us between 12.00-1.30pm, and we can explain how things work.  

If you are still interested, as we are sure you will be, we can provide you with an application form. It would also be a good idea to contact the Chair of Committee, Di White . 

To work at Monty's you must have a Working with Children Check, as we do have children at our lunch, particularly during the school holidays.
